Awareness & Prevention

The H5N1 Prevention Initiative is a multi-layered global advocacy campaign combating avian influenza. As a birding enthusiast and activist filmmaker, Jack Aronian founded the initiative to highlight the pandemic potential of bird flu. As part of the COVID generation, Aronian aims to protect all creatures, great and small, from zoonotic disease. Aronian views bird and wildlife centers as key intermediaries for HPAI preparedness and for disseminating public sector information. Wildlife organizations can leverage their communities and partnerships to amplify awareness. The H5N1 Prevention Initiative comprises a documentary featuring experts' perspectives, a collaborative hub for bird centers to share H5N1 strategies, and a fundraiser to support wildlife organizations' HPAI preparedness.

Please join the H5N1 Prevention Initiative in protecting wildlife and global health.
