Behind the Scenes of
The H5N1 Prevention Initiative
My grandfather, Dr. John Aronian,
was a surgeon, birder, rehabilitator, and writer,
who passed away at the start of COVID. He wrote the Montauk Trilogy,
including the novella "Smew," in 2006, which foretold
the impact of bird flu's devastation.
The H5N1 Prevention Initiative is a One Health advocacy campaign
that honors and continues his legacy.
